Understated Elegance.

I'm gonna be honest and say that I photographed this look last week and hated it. But now that it's been a few days and I'm seeing it with fresh eyes, I like it substantially more. I wanted to try out a weirder color combination and I think it turned out pretty well. Call it a salmon-in-the-forest kinda scheme. If salmon lived in forests. The necklace and earrings added a bit of subtle glam so a look like this could be worn out to dinner or a semi-casual holiday dinner. Whatever floats your boat.

If I had salmon-pink heels, I definitely would've opted for those cause I'm still kinda iffy about the black shoes and jacket but everyone is different so maybe someone will see this and think that black was the perfect color to go with. I also felt the ponytail polished the look off because I was wearing a T-shirt that was so high cut and I tend to keep my hair down if there's more skin exposed to balance everything out. This is a men's shirt that I tied in the front because I didn't think tucking it would give the right look. There are plenty of ways to work a t-shirt into a more formal setting, and this is just one of them.

I have to apologize for falling a bit behind on my posts; my amount of schoolwork seems to be growing larger and larger by the second even though i spend like 75% of my free time doing it and this week especially, I've got a lot to get done amongst the festivities and work. I hope everyone has a fabulous Thanksgiving, I'll definitely post about my look for Thursday!

Make good choices,

M.K.
