The slip dress is a summer dream come true. It's silky smooth, airy, and best of all, pleasing to the eye. I brightened up my look by adding my white handbag and staying away from black heels, which is not to say, of course, that this wouldn't look good with black heels (of course it would). I opted for statement earrings that somewhat matched, but not too much. And, because I hate getting too warm, I decided to put my hair up, also allowing the earrings to be visible. I got my dress at Target (on the clearance rack, no less) so it's definitely accessible to all.

My favorite part about the slip dress is that it's effortless. It's glam but it's easy. It's one piece so you don't have to worry about figuring out a top and bottom. I'd say the most important part of this is the jewelry and the shoes. Aaaaaaaand, y'all know I love when a piece can be dressed up or down. I could pair this with some white sneakers and a denim jacket and have a laidback look for the movies or a lunch date. Rihanna has even worn one of hers with a baseball cap so basically, there's a shit ton of wiggle room.
